Frequently Asked Questions
What accessories do I need to install a mini-split system?
For a clean, reliable mini-split installation, you typically need a wall mounting bracket or condenser pad for the outdoor unit, line set covers to protect and hide refrigerant lines, proper drain hose or condensate management, and vibration-isolating feet or pads to reduce noise and movement. EZ Plenum stocks all of these accessories for both contractors and homeowners.
Are EZ Plenum’s mini-split accessories compatible with my brand?
Yes. Our mini-split accessories are universal-fit and work with most major ductless brands, including Mitsubishi, Daikin, Gree, LG, Carrier, Trane, and others. Check individual product specs for weight limits, voltage, or line size requirements.
Do I need a wall bracket or can I just use a condenser pad?
Both are acceptable depending on the jobsite and local building jurisdiction code. A wall bracket keeps the outdoor unit elevated and off the ground, which helps with flooding, snow, debris, and pests. A condenser pad or anti-vibration base keeps the unit stable on the ground, reduces noise, and is often used for slab installs. EZ Plenum carries both styles.
How do line set covers help my mini-split system?
Line set covers protect the refrigerant lines, drain hose, and control wiring from UV damage, weather, and physical impact. They also give the installation a clean, professional look instead of exposed lines running down the wall. EZ Plenum offers durable covers designed for residential and light commercial installs.
Can homeowners buy mini-split accessories directly from EZ Plenum?
Yes. We sell direct to licensed HVAC contractors and to homeowners/DIY buyers. If you're replacing a bracket, leveling feet, or condenser pad on an existing unit, you can order online and have it shipped to you.
Do vibration pads and rubber feet really make a difference?
Yes. Anti-vibration rubber feet and shock-absorbing bases help reduce compressor noise, protect the mini-split from movement or shifting, and extend equipment life. They're especially helpful for installations near bedrooms, offices, or shared walls.
